About Installing:
In order to install PolyFit, two install scripts are created: one for use
with the Commodore Installer, which will give you a user-friendly and
standard install procedure. The other script is a script with AmigaDOS
commands that does the same, but with less options to choose by the user.
So if you have the Commodore Installer (distributed with the system
software since Release 2.1 and also on Fred Fish's AmigaLibDisk 870) I
recommend you use 'Install_with_Installer', else use 'Install_with_IconX',
which should always work, if you have installed your system software
properly.
About localisation:
If your system provides localisation (System software Release 2.1 or
higher), you can use PolyFit not only in english, but also in german or
dutch. In order to use the dutch or german version, you will have to run
the install program. This will install the german and/or the dutch
datafiles to their proper positions. If you only want to use the english
language, you do not need (but may still want) to run the install program.
You can then just drag the PolyFit icon to the drawer you want it to be.
Note for german people: for your convenience I translated the dutch
datafile into german. But my knowledge of german is very small, so please
do not complain about the lousy translation and the many errors that I
probably made. I would appreciate it if someone would send me a list with
proper translations. I will then include them in a future release of
PolyFit. The same goes for the english translation, however I trust I made
less errors here.
